⚠️ A Parent's Warning: My GlassesUSA Nightmare & Their Warranty Rip-Off
I’m writing this as a warning to any parent trying to buy glasses for their child online. My experience with GlassesUSA has been a complete nightmare, and I feel totally ripped off. To put it bluntly: this place is the worst I've ordered glasses with added warranty and needed a replacement due to the frame breaking and each time I've needed a lens replacement they tell me my choice of frame is out of stock and will therefore he receiving a store credit plus a small % which doesn't make sense then how do I end up with a cheaper and lighter pair than the previous? I'm so tired of dealing with this crap from glassesusa plus a 30 deductible for the replacement. It’s a total joke and robbery. After another useless email, I had to call them to try and get a straight answer.
Customer: Hi, I'm calling about my child's glasses. The frame broke, I have the warranty, and for the third time, I'm being told the replacement frame is out of stock and I’ll only get a partial store credit. My original order was worth $189 and now my credit is only around $130. How is that fair?
CS Rep: I'm very sorry to hear about the trouble you've been having. I understand how frustrating that must be. Can you please provide me with your order number so I can look into this for you?
Customer: The order number is XXXXX. I'm just tired of this. Why should I lose money and get a cheaper pair of glasses because you can't keep frames in stock? Plus I have to pay a $30 deductible on top of it all.
CS Rep: Thank you. I see your account history, and I sincerely apologize for this repeated issue. You are right to be upset. The decreasing credit and deductible are not providing the service you paid for. Let me see what I can do to make this right immediately.
Customer: I don't want another credit that's less than what I paid. I want a proper replacement or my money back. This has been a complete runaround.
CS Rep: I understand completely. I am going to override the system. I will issue you a full credit for the original $189 value, and I will waive the $30 deductible. You can choose any in-stock frame of equal value. I will personally ensure the order is processed correctly.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
